Since 2016, James Guelzow has been the Vice President and Chief Development Officer at LSI SOLUTIONS®. He is responsible for product development, production, and operations. In partnership with the executive team, he drafts and supports the organization’s mission, corporate goals, and operational metrics. James has previously held positions within LSI as Executive Director of Infrastructure & Technology, Technology Manager, and Discovery Engineer.

Prior to joining LSI, James held a variety of technical and leadership positions. In these roles, he was responsible for developing products for various markets including research, life science, consumer leisure goods, military weapon systems, consumer products, and medical devices. Having worked for companies of all sizes, he understands what it takes to bring products to market.

James has an AAS degree in Mechanical Technology from Finger Lakes Community College and a BS degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He has been awarded several patents and has authored technical publications. He is a member of the Mechanical Technology Advisory Board for Finger Lakes Community College.

James is an honorably discharged veteran, serving in the US Army’s 10th Mountain Division as an infantry M-60 machine gunner and a fire team leader. In addition to being deployed to many locales for specialized training, he served a combat tour in Mogadishu, Somalia.
